Set instants

This trio is the result of a visit to the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona to see an exhibition by the Catalan artist. A few of these works grabbed my attention, but it was the Dos ocells solars (Two sun birds) sculpture that really caught my eye. In that moment I imagined a tenor folk oboe and a flute drawing sounds over the sea. The sea could be represented by a piano. I finally had it, and the rest of the pieces would emerge from this trio to form the following Instants (Moments): Des del mar (From the sea), Lluna (Moon), Estrella (Star), Sol i Grafismes (Sun and Graphics), Carícia d’ocell (Bird caress) and Color des del mar (Colour from the sea).
With this composition I have tried to express the colours and shapes of Joan Miró’s works that I saw at that moment, turning them into the colours and shapes of musical sound.
