Matices de esperanza
Nuances of hope is really a music for hope: The texture of the work is vertical, with repetitive rhythmic formulas and popular turns. But let us not be deceived; this is a very difficult piece, as the performer must seek the right atmosphere at each moment.

Hope is not a new theme in Consuelo Colomer’s work. Her Policromies (Clivis Publicacions E-605) presented a final movement in which the composer herself referred to “a farewell that was inevitable but firmly bound to a thread of hope”. This hope appears once again as the main feature of this short piano piece in which the performer must look for the nuances that lead to the hope of an aching heart. The texture of the work is vertical, with repetitive rhythmic formulas and popular turns. But let us not be deceived; this is a very difficult piece, as the performer must seek the right atmosphere at each moment. As the author says: “After a few bars of dark undertones, slumbering in the night, daylight appears and with it, hope”.
