Dedicatòries

These brief pieces for piano describe the feelings and emotion that the composer feels towards her beloved birth town, Alcoi. From the very first piece, happiness oozes from the music: the happiness of meeting friends from Alcoi after many years – a city that is devoted to the pianist and composer who was born there, and to whom these pieces are dedicated to.
Amalgam is a mixture of sounds and feelings, a change of tonalities and rhythms that mixes different shades. The second piece is Brief divertimento, which condenses all the optimism, colour and emotions of the month of April, 2008. The difficulty in performing Darkness lies in capturing the feelings that it conveys: apprehension of darkness. On the other side of the spectrum is Light, the reflection of spring where everything seems simple, light, mild and cheerful.
