This work, of a strongly lyrical character, is composed of four movements which counterpose each other. At the same time however, there is a lot of similarity between the second and fourth movements. It may be said that all the material of the work is derived from several motives which I have used to conform the score with a certain coherence. At the same time, although it is difficult to follow, I have used a series and its classical derivations that have been inspired by the main motives of the work. Nevertheless, I have used this arrangement as a kind of “sound landscape” through which I have freely moved, without any other condition except to follow the suggestions that emanated from the association of groups of sounds belonging to the four basic serials.
