Conrad Setó seeks inspiration in his life. Each experience in his life inspires him to create: music that is developed, written,played,commented upon, tested,recorded, accomplished. It is his everyday music,in which he hides an important (and generous) compromise with the Music with a capital M, with his colleagues and friends, with himself.
His style is eclectic, difficult to label,because It Is interdisciplinary (always concerned with other media, such as painting, poetry, film, or theater),creating bridges between genres (song, classical, rock, New Age, jazz, ethnic, contemporary, etc.). It is thus impossible to classify. It may be found everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
Let us now turn our attention to the suggestive titles of these seven short pieces for cello and piano, extracted from his extensive and diverse catalogue. His language is a skin-deep colorist lyricism (or a lyric colorism), musical expression at its most complete.
