I wrote this work at the request of my friend and guitarist Stephan Schäfer. He asked me for a soprano and guitar. The soprano who was going to sing it was Teresa de la Torre, who I knew from my student days at Barcelona's Conservatory.
He left the choice of theme for the work up to me; I must say that Stephan has always been interested by extra musical themes which I tend to use in my compositions and which characterise my style.
Therefore I decided to write a text which, split up into three parts, would define the most important irrationalities which represent human rationality: I. Night-time; II. Feelings; III. Future.
